ATTLAS – Out Here with You

Once rumored to be a secret project of a DJ with a mouse for a face, ATTLAS uses his second album to set some distance between himself and both the expectations set by that rumor and the incessant demands of the world. Out Here with You carries a secure sense of excitement and awe, like looking out at a sparking field of fresh snow while keeping your blanket firmly wrapped around yourself. Although a product of the 2020 lockdowns, you don’t need to be living through a pandemic to appreciate a moment to breathe and take a break from a world that so rarely offers one.

Note: This was an assignment in my Writing About Music class. The goal was to complete an album review in the style of Mike McGuirk using only 3 sentences at most.
