Long story short, last September, I began working for Provo Music Magazine and its sister publications as a writer, so most of my creative output was focused on those spots. Fast forward a few months and I was offered the opportunity to work as lead editor for both Provo Music Magazine and KPOPWORLD, meaning I'd be writing music content full-time! I'm truly blessed and thankful to have a job that is something I love and is super meaningful to me.
I most certainly haven't stopped writing; in fact, I'm writing more than ever before! If you want to catch up on (almost) everything I've written since my last post here, you can check out the Provo Music Magazine website, kpopworld.com, articles here and there for tmrw magazine, as well as both KPOPWORLD and Modal Music Magazine on the WorldPlus app. Truth be told, pretty much everything on Provo Music Magazine over the past several months has a touch of me too, as I've edited literally everything that's there.
So, what's next?
Well, up until this point, I've had a spot for all my creative output: Provo Music Magazine for local stuff, KPOPWORLD for Korean music, and Modal Music Magazine/tmrw magazine for pretty much everything else. However, with Modal getting a temporary pause in publication and tmrw having a pretty defined voice, I'm realizing there's a spot still for me to try out some of the more experimental content I've been interested in. Stuff like short form videos, smaller global indies, and general music stuffs that just aren't made for a publication or as wide an audience. I've got a post coming up (finally) finishing out my favorite albums of 2023 list, and beyond that, I've updated my top albums of all times list, could probably get started on the 2024 favs list, and could probably do less-professional extras to the stuff I put out elsewhere.
All that to say - I don't know! But it's hopefully something, and it's hopefully going to be fun.
